Anytone D878UV Plus is the natural evolution of the famous 878, a compact and durable handheld portable radio IP54 digital DMR VHF and UHF (compatible with MOTOTRBO Tier 1 and 2), which also supports traditional ANALOG FM. This version has a color TFT display on a black background!

Here are the most important functions added to its predecessor 878:

* Roaming function, Bluetooth interface installed as standard, voice recorder over 500 hours, more memory for further new functions in the future, APRS function, Bluetooth remote PTT unit with Velcro fastening strap, to allow the use of the radio also in systems HANDSFREE already present on cars….

The main feature is that unlike many other DMR devices, the new D878UV offers a real possibility to operate in VFOs and to add channels and memorize their characteristics even without using a PC.

In fact, a radio operator can set a frequency and transmit parameters as usual, instead of only accessing pre-programmed memory channels.

The Anytone D878UV PLUS is also equipped with memory channels, 4000 to be precise.

A further difference with other DMR devices is the ability to change most (not all) of the parameters on the device. So you don't have to rely on computer programming for every little change. However, settings for all parameters (eg DMR ID) are only possible with a corresponding (free) PC software.

The feature set of the D878UVPLUS is very broad. 4000 different channels can be stored (digital and analog, also possible mixed operations); 10,000 talk groups are configurable and the memory can hold up to 150,000 contacts. In analog operation, functions such as DTMF, CTCSS and DCS are supported, as well as coding with two-tone and five-tone signals. A burst of tones of 1750 Hz is also available. Five buttons on the radio can be individually assigned with functions, so that each user can adjust the radio to their personal preferences. The large 1.77 "color display can be illuminated with different degrees of brightness and is easy to read even in sunlight. To save energy, the display switches off after an adjustable period of time.

Another feature to note is the option to store multiple DMR IDs. So it would be conceivable to use the device both in a professional business environment, as well as in the amateur radio setting with another ID for the amateur radio band.

So multiple family members share one device. The Anytone D878UV PLUS is equipped with a GPS receiver, the position data can be transmitted via radio. The D868UV PLUS is a Dualband device for 2m (VHF) and 70cm (UHF), on both bands it is possible to work in analogue in FM or digital in DMR. In addition, a receiver is also available for the WFM broadcast band. The transmit power can be set in 4 levels from a minimum of one to 6 watts (VHF) or 7 watts (UHF). The headphone / microphone socket is compatible with Kenwood or Wouxun. The antenna connection is a male SMA connector (reverse), so you can use the optional antennas of any brand as long as they are equipped with an SMA FEMALE connector.
