Thanks to the innovative "center-balance" system The new CEM26 weighs only 4.5kg and can carry 12, a ratio of weight to payload of 2.6x!
The mechanical part has been revisited to make it similar to the older sister CEM40 therefore we find the convenient Quick-lock axis lock that always guarantees a perfect zero back-lash coupling between the crown and VSF.
The connection to the pc takes place via USB or Wifi port and thanks to the iOptron Ascom commander it will be possible to control the mount with your pc even from a distance!
The GotoNova 8409 pointing computer contains a catalog of 212,000 objects and the permanent periodic error recording system, PPEC, which allows unguided poses of a few minutes with short focal lengths.
Thanks to the low periodic error of no more than +/- 10 arcsec, the CEM26 is ideal for astrophotography with instruments up to 8kg in weight and focal lengths up to 1200mm: autoguiding is possible via ascom or with the ST4 port on the mount.
